Primary Purpose:
The Facilities Technician II is responsible for all aspects of building maintenance and the maintenance of owned facilities, equipment, and vehicles. Primary responsibilities will include the implementation of preventative maintenance for facilities, equipment, and vehicles; operations and equipment; coordinate/oversee any remodels or constructions projects, emergency repairs, immediate cleaning if needed and performs other duties as required. Responsible for safety and OSHA procedures.

Education/Certification:
High School Diploma
Special Knowledge/Skills:
Ability to work independently and in a team environment
Ability to use a personal computer as well as word processing and spreadsheet programs
Ability to direct and schedule contractors
Automotive repair
Experience:
Five years of facilities maintenance experience required
Experience in all aspects of facilities maintenance to include – plumbing; electrical; carpentry; framing; painting and cleaning preferred
Must be at least 21 years old
Must have a valid Texas driver’s license with an acceptable driving record and be able to provide proof of liability insurance
Five years of automotive repair experience
Major Responsibilities and Duties:

Primary responsibilities will include the coordination of preventative maintenance for facilities, equipment, and vehicles; operations and equipment; coordinate/oversee any remodels or constructions projects, emergency repairs, immediate cleaning if needed and performs other duties as required. Graffiti removal. Directing day porter to ensure non-contract janitorial items are completed. Additional duties as automotive repair and diagnosis technician on a case by case basis.

Ability, attitude, and willingness to learn may substitute for experience. Must have own tools. Some specialized tools may be provided if needed.

Working Conditions:
Mental Demands/Physical Demands/Environmental Factors:
Work will predominantly be inside but outdoor work will occur. Working conditions may be in both heat and cold. Ability to lift 50 lbs or more required. Ability to work on knees, on ladders and to stoop and bend required.
