Primary Purpose: The Program Manager will be responsible for maintaining extensive files, preparing written correspondence, memorandums, schedules, reports and presentations, and providing technical support to all program staff and educators.

 

Qualifications:

Education/Certification:

 Bachelor’s Degree in related field

 

Special Knowledge/Skills:

 Familiar with Word processing software.

 

Experience:

 Two plus years of working in an administrative and/or program management position

 

Major Responsibilities and Duties:

 

  1. Assist the principal and staff in the preparation, implementation, and evaluation of the project; assist in project coordination with staff, pupils, and parents
  2. Plan and coordinate in-service training
  3. Coordinate the assignment of other para-educational staff and volunteers
  4. Provide liaison with community groups and parents to encourage understanding, cooperation, participation, and support of program objectives
  5. Assist in on-site activities such as open houses, parent meetings, and displays
  6. Assist in the development, preparation, assembly, and distribution of instructional materials or informational bulletins
  7. Collect and submit required documentation and reports to substantiate the progress of program implementation
  8. Perform related duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  1. Knowledge of socio-economic problems in the community.
  2. Reading and writing English communication skills.
  3. Ability to read, write, and understand the English language.
  4. Operate standard office equipment including microcomputers and related software applications.
  5. Communicate effectively and maintain effective working relationships with others.
  6. Follow verbal and written instructions.
  7. Plan and organize work.
  8. Meet schedules and timelines.
  9. Read, apply, and explain rules, regulations, policies, and procedures
  10. Duties performed some weekends and evenings
  11. Any other duties required.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

As assigned.

 

Working Conditions:

Mental Demands/Physical Demands/Environmental Factors:

Work with frequent interruptions, maintain emotional control under stress.  Occasional prolonged or irregular hours.  Regular district-wide travel to multiple work locations as assigned; moderate lifting and carrying.
